Pakistan's High Commissioner to Bangladesh Imran Haider has met with National Parliament Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmed (Bir Bikram). The courtesy meeting was held at the Parliament Secretariat on Wednesday. During the meeting, High Commissioner Haider expressed deep condolences over the death of the speaker's wife, Dilara Hafiz, and conveyed sympathy to the bereaved family. The two sides discussed various issues of mutual interest between the two countries. They exchanged views on the ongoing global crisis and important internal matters of Bangladesh and Pakistan. Both sides emphasised strengthening parliamentary and bilateral relations. Deputy Speaker Barrister Kayser Kamal, Pakistan's Deputy High Commissioner Mohammad Wasif, and senior officials of the Parliament Secretariat were also present.

বাংলাদেশে নিযুক্ত পাকিস্তানের হাইকমিশনার ইমরান হায়দার জাতীয় সংসদের স্পিকার হাফিজ উদ্দিন আহমদ (বীর বিক্রম)-এর সঙ্গে সাক্ষাৎ করেছেন। বুধবার সংসদ সচিবালয়ে এ সৌজন্য সাক্ষাৎ অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। সাক্ষাৎকালে হাইকমিশনার হায়দার স্পিকারের স্ত্রী দিলারা হাফিজের মৃত্যুতে গভীর শোক প্রকাশ করেন এবং শোকসন্তপ্ত পরিবারের প্রতি সমবেদনা জানান। এ সময় দুই দেশের পারস্পরিক স্বার্থসংশ্লিষ্ট বিভিন্ন বিষয় নিয়ে আলোচনা হয়। চলমান বৈশ্বিক সংকট এবং বাংলাদেশ ও পাকিস্তানের গুরুত্বপূর্ণ অভ্যন্তরীণ বিষয় নিয়েও মতবিনিময় করেন তারা। সংসদীয় ও দ্বিপাক্ষিক সম্পর্ক আরও জোরদারের ওপর গুরুত্বারোপ করেন উভয় পক্ষ। সাক্ষাৎকালে ডেপুটি স্পিকার ব্যারিস্টার কায়সার কামাল, পাকিস্তানের উপ-হাইকমিশনার মোহাম্মদ ওয়াসিফ এবং সংসদ সচিবালয়ের ঊর্ধ্বতন কর্মকর্তারা উপস্থিত ছিলেন।
