In response to India's new Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi's 'warning against Pakistan', the Pakistani military has given a devastating reaction.

On Sunday (May 17), Pakistan's Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) issued a stern warning to India, saying that threatening to wipe a sovereign nuclear-armed neighbor off the map is utter folly and madness.

They said that such provocative statements are pushing South Asia towards another terrible conflict that will have disastrous consequences for the region forever.

Earlier on Saturday (May 16), the Indian Army Chief made comments indicating Pakistan's existential crisis while participating in an interactive session called 'Uniform Unveiled' at the Manekshaw Center in Delhi. At the event, General Upendra Dwivedi was asked how the Indian Army would respond if a war situation like last year's 'Operation Sindoor' was recreated.

In response, General Dwivedi said, 'If Pakistan continues to harbor terrorists and carry out border activities against India, then it will have to decide for itself whether it wants to survive as a part of the world's geography or disappear into the pages of history.'

The Pakistani military command reacted angrily to this statement. The ISPR stated in its statement that this narrow-mindedness of the Indian leadership has repeatedly pushed South Asia towards unnecessary wars and deep crises. Even after eight decades, the policymakers in Delhi have not been able to come to terms with the basic concept of Pakistan's existence and have not learned any lessons from their past history.

In the statement, Pakistan said that if any attempt is made to wipe a sovereign nuclear-armed country off the map, its military response will be commensurate and very comprehensive.

Islamabad said that if such an aggression were to begin, its devastation would never be unilateral; rather, it would bring irreparable disaster and devastation to both countries and the entire South Asian region as a whole.
