Pakistani singer Ali Azmat to perform in Dhaka
Pakistani artists are gaining immense popularity in Bangladesh, with singers like Atif Aslam and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan already having performed in Dhaka. Now, Ali Azmat, the lead vocalist of the renowned Pakistani band 'Junoon', is set to perform in Dhaka for his first solo concert.
Titled ‘Ali Azmat (The Voice of Junoon) Live in Dhaka,’ the concert will take place on May 2 at the United Convention in Dhaka. Organized by Asen Baj, the event is scheduled to begin at 4.00 pm. Ticket prices and other details will be announced by the organizers soon.
It has not yet been confirmed whether any Bangladeshi artists will perform alongside Ali Azmat at the concert.
Notably, Ali Azmat has performed in Bangladesh twice before with the band ‘Junoon,’ but this will be his first solo concert in the country.
Formed in 1991, the Sufi rock band ‘Junoon’ has had Ali Azmat involved from the very beginning. In addition to his success with the band, Azmat has become well-known in Bollywood. His Bollywood career started in 2003 with the song 'Garaj Baras' from the film Paap, and his fame grew further with tracks like ‘Mawla’ and ‘Ye Jism Hai Tera’ from Jism 2 in 2012.
In addition to singing, Ali Azmat has demonstrated his acting talents, with his most recent film being the popular Pakistani movie The Legend of Maula Jatt.
