Pakistan's spin web leaves West Indies reeling in Port of Spain

Pakistan's spin attack kept the visitors firmly in contention despite West Indies taking a slender lead in the second Test, triggering a dramatic batting collapse on the third day in Port of Spain.

At stumps, West Indies were 103 for 6 in their second innings, leading by 60 runs overall with only four wickets remaining. The hosts will now rely on their lower order to build a competitive target, while Pakistan will look to wrap up the innings quickly on the fourth morning.

West Indies made a steady start through openers Tagenarine Chanderpaul and Kevlon Hodge, who added 40 runs for the first wicket. However, the innings unravelled after Chanderpaul was trapped lbw by Sajid Khan for 17.

Hodge top-scored with 34, while captain Roston Chase contributed 17 and Shai Hope made 15. None of the middle-order batters managed to convert their starts into a substantial innings as Pakistan's spinners tightened their grip.

Sajid Khan was the standout performer, claiming 4 for 32 to dismantle the West Indies batting line-up. Fellow spinner Ali Usman chipped in with two wickets to leave the hosts under pressure despite their first-innings advantage.

Pakistan will aim to dismiss the remaining four wickets early on the fourth day and set up a manageable chase, while West Indies will be desperate to stretch their lead and make the final innings as challenging as possible.
