Phone conversation between Bangladesh-Azerbaijan FM, discussion on opening Embassies

Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov had a telephone conversation with Bangladesh’s Foreign Minister Dr. Khalilur Rahman. They took part in the phone call on Thursday afternoon (June 18).

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that during the call, the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister warmly congratulated the Bangladeshi Foreign Minister on his election as President of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.

During the discussion, the two ministers reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations between the two friendly countries. They also discussed the issue of opening residential diplomatic missions in each other’s countries.

The ministry said that Bangladesh’s Foreign Minister invited Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister to visit Bangladesh at a mutually convenient time.
