Police van catches fire in front of Ramna police station

A police vehicle caught fire in front of Ramna Police Station in Dhaka.

The incident took place around 11.00am on Wednesday (November 12).

Police said the incident was accidental and occurred due to a battery connection fault during repair work.

No one was injured in the fire, which likely resulted from a worker’s carelessness, confirmed Golam Faruq, officer-in-charge (OC) of Ramna Police Station.

"The fire was promptly brought under control," he said.
