Popular American rapper T-Hood shot dead
Popular American rapper Tevin Hood, widely known by his stage name T-Hood, was shot and killed at his residence in Atlanta, Georgia on Saturday evening (August 9). He was 26.
The incident took place around 7:00pm (local time).
According to U.S. media reports, multiple gunshots were fired, and T-Hood succumbed to his injuries from excessive blood loss before he could be taken to the hospital. While some sources claim a party was underway at the time of the shooting, his mother has denied that any such gathering took place.
The Atlanta Police Department confirmed that no arrests have been made as of Monday, and the investigation remains ongoing. Authorities have not released any details regarding possible suspects or motives.
T-Hood, a rising voice in the Atlanta rap scene, had built a loyal fan base with his energetic performances and collaborations in the hip-hop industry. His sudden death has sent shockwaves through the music community.
Tributes poured in across social media following the news. Music producer Didtwill posted an emotional message: “We used to talk on the phone all day. I still can't believe you're gone. Rest in peace, T-Hood. I love you, dear brother.”
T-Hood's girlfriend, Kelsey, also shared a heartfelt tribute, while pushing back against misinformation surrounding his death. “I’ve been advised not to speak, but I can’t stay silent. The love of my life is gone. The man I hugged every night—he’s not here anymore.”
