President Shahabuddin seeks prayers for Khaleda Zia

President Mohammed Shahabuddin has expressed deep concern over the deteriorating health of BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia and has urged the nation to pray for her speedy recovery.

The message was conveyed through the President’s Assistant Private Secretary, Mohammad Sagar Hossain, on Saturday (November 29).

The President is closely monitoring her condition and called on all citizens to offer prayers for her health.

Earlier, Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus also expressed concern for the 80-year-old three-time former Prime Minister and requested the public’s prayers. He directed authorities to ensure she receives all necessary medical support.

Khaleda Zia was readmitted to the hospital on November 23 due to a lung infection and cardiac complications. Under the supervision of a medical board, a team of domestic and foreign specialist doctors continues to provide intensive care and monitoring in the ICU.
