International model, actress, and pilot Maksuda Akhter Prioty, originally from Bangladesh, turned heads on the red carpet at the prestigious Venice Film Festival this year. Dressed in designs by acclaimed Irish designer Claire Garvey, Proity's appearance drew widespread attention for both her elegance and her commitment to sustainable fashion.

On the festival’s opening day, Prioty wore a striking ensemble inspired by the Irish sea goddess Clíodhna. The eco-conscious outfit was crafted from recycled fabrics, repurposed strawberry farming racks, and adorned with pearl motifs — creating a look that was as meaningful as it was mesmerizing.

Later, for the premiere of The Last Viking, Proity opted for a Cleopatra-inspired gown. The fabric was dyed using organic pigments derived from spices, symbolizing the ancient trade links between Venice and Egypt. Her elaborate headpiece, made from recovered plastics and upcycled upholstery fabrics, added a dramatic and innovative touch.

These two distinctive looks not only highlighted Proity’s unique fashion sense but also earned her praise for bringing sustainability to one of the world’s most glamorous stages.

Established in 1932, the Venice Film Festival is the oldest film festival in the world and one of the most prestigious events in global cinema. The 82nd edition of the festival runs from August 27 to September 6, with the red carpet teeming with stars from around the world.
