Rashmika Mandanna clears the air on wedding rumours

Speculation surrounding the wedding of popular South Indian actors Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda refuses to die down. For the past few months, rumours have suggested that the two stars might tie the knot on February 26.

More recently, social media was abuzz with claims that their wedding was set to take place in Udaipur on February 2.

However, Rashmika Mandanna herself has now addressed and dismissed the rumour. In a reaction to the media, the actress clarified that no wedding took place on February 2. According to a report by Anandabazar Patrika, Rashmika termed the claim completely baseless and mere gossip.

While the February 2 rumour has been debunked, fans remain curious about the possible February 26 wedding date. Industry sources suggest that the ceremony could indeed be held in Udaipur, Rajasthan, though it is expected to be a low-key affair rather than a lavish celebration.

Sources say both Rashmika and Vijay prefer to complete the wedding rituals privately. Only close family members and relatives from both sides are likely to attend, with invitations possibly extended to just a handful of celebrities from the entertainment industry.

The decision is reportedly aimed at avoiding excessive media and paparazzi attention.

Although the main wedding ceremony is expected to be strictly private, reports suggest the couple may host a grand reception a few days later in Hyderabad. That event could see the presence of several well-known faces from both the South Indian and Bollywood film industries.

It may be recalled that in October last year, rumours of Rashmika and Vijay’s engagement also went viral on social media, with claims that the ceremony had taken place secretly in a family setting. At the time, Rashmika said in an interview that she would neither confirm nor deny anything about her marriage, adding that they would speak about it themselves when the time was right.

Speaking about her personal and professional life, Rashmika had also said that she barely discusses work at home, keeping herself away from it for nearly 80 per cent of the time. However, she does consult Vijay if there is any work-related issue. She added that at home, she is simply a family person.

Overall, uncertainty surrounding the wedding date remains. For now, only one thing is certain—February 2 is not the date, and everything else remains in the realm of speculation.
