Popular Indian actress Rashmika Mandanna has sustained a serious hip injury while filming high-intensity action and dance sequences for her upcoming films Ranabali and Maisa, according to media reports.

Reports said the injury took place during rigorous rehearsals for demanding choreography and action scenes, leaving Rashmika with a completely ruptured hip tendon.

Medical experts noted that such injuries are typically associated with professional athletes engaged in prolonged, high-impact physical training, making the actress's condition particularly severe.

Doctors have advised the actress to remain on complete rest for the next six weeks.

Following the prescribed rest period, Rashmika is expected to undergo a structured rehabilitation programme to regain strength, mobility and full physical fitness before returning to work.

The injury could significantly disrupt the actress's packed professional schedule. Rashmika is currently juggling four major film projects while also serving as the face of nearly 30 national and international brands, raising the possibility of changes to both filming timelines and commercial commitments.

Neither Rashmika nor her management team has issued an official statement regarding the reported injury.

Earlier, choreographer Brinda, who is working on a song for Maisa, had praised the actress's dedication on social media, saying Rashmika never complained despite performing through physical pain during rehearsals.

Rashmika was most recently seen in Cocktail 2. She married actor Vijay Deverakonda in February this year, and the couple is currently sharing the screen in the upcoming film Ranabali.
