La Liga
Real Madrid back on top with goal fest
In the 20th round of La Liga, Real Madrid secured a commanding 4-1 victory over Las Palmas at Santiago Bernabéu, reclaiming the top position on the points table. The match saw stellar performances from Kylian Mbappé, Rodrygo, and Brahim Díaz.
Las Palmas took an early lead in just 28 seconds when Fabio Silva scored from Sandro Ramírez's cross. This marked the second-fastest goal conceded by Real Madrid. However, Mbappé equalized in the 18th minute through a penalty. In the 33rd minute, Brahim Díaz scored an easy goal from Lucas Vázquez's pass. Just three minutes later, Mbappé scored his second goal with an assist from Rodrygo, although one of his first-half goals was controversially disallowed for offside.
After the break, Rodrygo scored Real's fourth goal with a superb strike in the 57th minute. Las Palmas' Benito Ramírez received a straight red card in the 64th minute, leaving his team further weakened. Although three more Real goals were disallowed for offside, they secured a dominant 4-1 victory.
With this win, Real Madrid now sits at the top of the table with 46 points from 20 matches, including 14 wins and 4 draws. Atlético Madrid and Barcelona trail behind by 2 and 7 points, respectively, in second and third positions.
