Record 23 Bangladeshi cricketers register for The Hundred draft
A record 23 Bangladeshi cricketers have entered the draft for the upcoming edition of The Hundred, marking the country’s strongest-ever representation in the franchise-based 100-ball tournament.
The draft, featuring a pool of 710 players, is scheduled for March 12, with the tournament set to run from July 21 to August 16.
Among the Bangladeshi contingent, left-arm pacer Mustafizur Rahman holds the highest base price at £100,000, followed by leg-spinner Rishad Hossain at £75,000. No player from Bangladesh has a £50,000 base price this year.
A large group of national stars enters at a base price of £31,000, including Nasum Ahmed, Taskin Ahmed, Jaker Ali Anik, Litton Das, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Mahedi Hasan, Saif Hassan, Tanzid Hasan Tamim, Tanzim Hasan Sakib, Towhid Hridoy, Shamim Hossain, Parvez Hossain Emon, Najmul Hossain Shanto, Shoriful Islam, Taijul Islam, Hasan Mahmud, Ripon Mondol, Nahid Rana, Mohammad Naim, Sabbir Rahman, and Soumya Sarkar.
