Rishad makes Big Bash debut as second Bangladeshi after Shakib
Rishad Hossain has made his Big Bash League debut, becoming only the second Bangladeshi cricketer to feature in the tournament after Shakib Al Hasan. Rishad’s Hobart Hurricanes are taking on Sydney Thunder, with Hobart winning the toss and opting to bowl first.
Earlier, Shakib Al Hasan had played in the Big Bash, last appearing on January 19, 2015. Nearly 11 years later, another Bangladeshi cricketer has returned to the competition. The match also marks a milestone for Ben McDermott, who is playing his 100th match for Hobart.
