After facing visa complications and spending two nights at the airport, Bangladeshi pacer Nahid Rana and leg-spinner Rishad Hossain have finally joined the national team in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

They reached the team camp in the UAE late on Friday night (May 16).

Both players had initially set out for the UAE with the rest of the team on May 14. However, upon arrival at the airport, they were stopped at the immigration checkpoint when it was discovered that their visas were not valid. As a result, they couldn’t clear immigration and had to stay in the airport hotel for two nights.

Later, with the help of the Emirates Cricket Board, new visas were issued, and they were granted entry into the country.

Shahriar Nafees, Head of Cricket Operations at the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), said, "Nahid and Rishad have joined the team. They were staying at the airport hotel and are now fully fit. There’s no issue with them playing in the first match."

Earlier, both players had traveled through the UAE to Pakistan for the Pakistan Super League (PSL). But when returning to the UAE on a special flight, they faced this problem due to their visas not being renewed in time.
