Rituparna Sengupta's 'Never Mind' explores a sensitive, forbidden reality

Tollywood's popular and busy actress Rituparna Sengupta is set to captivate audiences once again with her upcoming film 'Never Mind', which explores a sensitive and often considered forbidden reality of society.

According to Indian media reports, the film marks the directorial debut of actress Chaity Ghosal. The first look of the film has finally been released, ending years of speculation about Rituparna's involvement in the project.

Sharing the poster on social media, Rituparna wrote, "Some nights arrive silently and change everything. 'Never Mind' brings the story of one such night." Her brief message hints at the film's mysterious atmosphere and emotional depth.

The film also marks a special collaboration as Chaity Ghosal's son, Amartya Ray, plays one of the lead roles. Although he has worked in the industry before, this is the first time he is acting under his mother's direction.

The story of 'Never Mind' revolves around a woman searching for a significant chapter of her past, leading her to a bar on Kolkata's historic Park Street. There she meets a young bar musician, and gradually, the lives, relationships and untold realities of various people begin to unfold.

According to the makers, the film highlights the lives of people in Kolkata whose professions, ideologies and philosophies are completely different from one another, yet connected by a shared humanity.

Park Street, the heart of Kolkata, is presented in a new light, capturing the city's interplay of light and shadow alongside the inner stories of its people.

The film's story is written by Samrat, with Mitali Ghosal Rudra co-writing the screenplay. Cinematography is by Gopi Bhagat, while popular rock musician Rupam Islam has composed the songs and background score.

With a fresh story, a new director, a unique presentation and a strong cast, 'Never Mind' has already become one of the most talked-about films in Tollywood.
