After months of speculation, World Cup-winning midfielder Rodri has finally joined Spanish giants Barcelona. He has signed a four-year contract with the Catalan club after leaving Manchester City.

Although Rodri had a year remaining on his contract with Manchester City, he decided to leave before its expiration. For the past few months, there had been widespread debate across Europe over whether he would join Real Madrid or Barcelona.

Rodri had already rejected Real Madrid's offer and had expressed his desire to play for Barcelona. However, Manchester City rejected the Catalans' first two offers. Eventually, the two clubs reached an agreement on the third bid, paving the way for the star midfielder's return to Spain.

After arriving in Barcelona on Monday, Rodri completed his medical examination on Tuesday at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper training complex.

Barcelona will officially present Rodri as their new player in front of supporters at Camp Nou today, before the final of the Joan Gamper Trophy.
