Bangladesh's non-participation in the T20 World Cup jointly organized by India and Sri Lanka has sparked a new controversy. BCB senior assistant coach Mohammad Salahuddin has opened up about the country's non-participation in the World Cup.

Speaking to the media in Mirpur on Friday, Salahuddin said, "I can't even imagine him telling such lies on the platform. How can I show my face in front of the boys? He is a teacher, a teacher from Dhaka University. We cannot accept that a teacher from the country's highest institution will lie like this."

Earlier, former sports advisor Asif Nazrul had said that the government's decision not to play the World Cup was the Bangladesh team's. Later, he changed his mind and said that it was not the government's decision, but the Bangladesh Cricket Board and the players' decision.

Salahuddin also said, "Two of my players went into a coma. They were lost for five days. We were able to bring them back to the field in that tournament, that is the biggest achievement of my life." It is possible to destroy a team in a second.

It is worth noting that Asif Nazrul told the media on February 10 that there is no question of regret. The Bangladesh Cricket Board and the players have taken the decision. They have sacrificed for the country's cricket and the safety of the people.

However, he later retracted his statement in the face of criticism.
