Samu Chowdhury not ready to leave shrine
A photo of actor Samu Chowdhury lying sick in front of a shrine in Mosakhali Union of Gafargaon Upazila of Mymensingh has gone viral. After that, the local police went to rescue him on Thursday (June 12) afternoon, but he did not want to leave the shrine.
In this regard, Pagla Police Station OC Ferdous Alam told the media: "After knowing the actor's location, police were sent to the shrine to rescue him. But he could not be brought from the shrine until 7:45 pm."
He also said that the actor became agitated when he was asked too many questions. In that situation, the police and the army are stationed in the shrine area. "We have also spoken to the family members. Family members are coming here."
Locals said that Samu Chowdhury visited the shrine of Shah Miskin Joynal Abedin (R.) of Mukhi village of Mosakhali Union at 10:30 pm on Wednesday (June 11). He stayed with the fakirs of the shrine at night. After Thursday afternoon, the locals gave Samu Chowdhury a new lungi. After that, he started talking, hanging out, and chatting with the vagabonds of the shrine. He does not want to talk to anyone other than the fakirs of the shrine.
The shrine's keeper, Shah Mohammad Fahad Fakir, told reporters that he had never seen Samu Chowdhury at this shrine before.
A local youth, Al Mamun, who posted Samu Chowdhury's picture on Facebook, told reporters: "Around 10:30pm on Wednesday, a few of us went forward after hearing a man arguing with a motorcycle driver near the shrine. Then we recognized actor Samu Chowdhury."
He said that the driver was arguing with Samu Chowdhury because he had not paid the motorcycle fare. The driver said that Samu Chowdhury had brought him here from Dhaka. He was not wearing any shirt when he arrived. He was wearing trousers and had a bag with him. He seemed to be unwell. Later, the locals sent the motorcycle driver away.
