Sanjida Tasnim: From Star Hunt to dreaming of OTT success

Young actress from Sylhet, Sanjida Tasnim, has made her mark with her talent in a short time. Although she entered acting from ramp modelling just about a year ago, she has already worked in 7-8 dramas. She has also been part of a film produced with government grant.

Her media journey began as a hobby. She first stood in front of the camera as a child in class nine, performing a dance for NTV. Later, participating in the Star Hunt reality show stage, she became one of the three finalists. That experience gave birth to her dream of acting.

Sanjida says, "Ramp modelling gave me confidence. But in acting, maintaining the emotions of a character, delivering dialogues – everything is a different challenge."

She is more focused on quality work and aims to establish herself on the big screen through OTT platforms.

Her workload is set to increase this Eid. A seven-episode series 'Kulin Samachar' is coming to Channel i, directed by Salauddin Lovelu. Alongside, there are some single dramas and the Eid special Chorki web film 'Cactus', directed by Shihab Shaheen and produced by Redoan Rony.

Tasnim completed her education in Sylhet. Later, she came to Dhaka and studied Fashion Designing at Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology. She shared that if she hadn't entered media, she might have stayed abroad, then returned to the country to open her own clothing brand.
