Shakib Khan pays tribute to language martyrs
February 21 brings an ethereal feeling of sorrow and pride to every Bengali heart. On this day in 1952, brave sons coloured the streets with their blood to protect the mother tongue, and today the entire nation pays humble tribute to them. On this deeply emotional day for the nation, Dhallywood megastar Shakib Khan has remembered the language martyrs in an uniquely artistic manner.
The actor paid tribute to the language martyrs through a special post on his verified Facebook page. The same image and message were also shared from Shakib Khan's own production house 'SK Films' page to convey respect.
The card in Shakib Khan's shared post features meaningful graphics symbolising Language Day. The image shows three film reels placed vertically to form the shape of the central Shaheed Minar, with another film reel placed beside them. The top actor has woven together the Shaheed Minar—a symbol of national mourning, pride and glory—with film reels, a primary element of his profession.
Inside this image and in the post's caption, it reads: "Humble tributes to all the brave martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the mother tongue."
Shakib Khan's fans and admirers have praised this exceptional expression of love for the country and the mother tongue.
