Shakib will play when fully fit, not on emotion: Chief selector

Bangladesh national cricket team's new chief selector has said that Shakib Al Hasan will return to the national team only when he is fully prepared. He made this remark at the BCB office on Tuesday, March 24.

Habibul Bashar said, "BCB's new selector panel will start full operations from next month. Whoever has joined the new selection panel, their inclusion is very positive."

He added, "There are many big series ahead; maintaining consistency is very important. There are many matches coming up, and expanding our player pool is important."

Regarding Shakib Al Hasan's return to the country's cricket, the new selection panel chairman said, "Shakib will come to the national team only when fully prepared. But Shakib cannot come today and play tomorrow; he needs preparation. This is not a matter of emotion."
