Shakira-Pique's luxury house now owned by Yamal

At just 18 years of age, Lamine Yamal has carved out a distinct place for himself in the football world. After a series of successes with Barcelona and Spain, news has now emerged of a major personal achievement—the luxury house once owned by popstar Shakira and former Barcelona star Gerard Pique is now Yamal's.

The house, located in the Ciudad Diagonal residential complex in Esplugues de Llobregat, Spain, is worth over 10 million euros. After lengthy negotiations, ownership of the property has reportedly come into Yamal's hands.

The house, designed by architect Mireia Admetlla in 2012, is a three-storey mansion with two underground levels. The entire property covers over 3,800 square metres.

The house features almost every luxury amenity—large windows, an outdoor swimming pool with a fountain, an indoor swimming pool, a private gym, a paddle court, a cinema room, a wine cellar, a recording studio and a private football pitch.

After Shakira and Pique's separation, the former couple's property now has a new owner—Yamal. It is known that he has kept most of the house's previous furnishings but has added some furniture according to his preferences. His trophies, awards and memorabilia have also found places in various parts of the house.

The Ciudad Diagonal complex has four houses. One belongs to Pique's parents, another to Shakira's parents. The main house is now Yamal's. Renovation work on the fourth house is yet to be completed. From this elevated residential area, one can also see spectacular views of Barcelona city and the Mediterranean Sea.

The ownership transfer process took nearly three months of negotiations. It is understood that while Yamal was not present himself, his lawyers completed the necessary formalities.

The house was once the centre of media attention surrounding Shakira and Pique's family life. After their separation, a new chapter has now begun there with Yamal.

Yamal made his Barcelona senior team debut in 2023 at just 15 years of age. Since then, he has broken one record after another for the Spain national team. Having already won major honours including a league title and the European Championship at such a young age, the teenage star is now making his mark off the field as well.

Having become one of the world's most talked-about young players at the start of his football career, Yamal is now also the owner of one of Barcelona's most famous luxury houses.
