Shithi Saha's 'Bosonter Kokil' clocks 81,000 views in 24 hours
Bangladeshi singer Shithi Saha has made an emphatic return with her latest track 'Bosonter Kokil' (Cuckoo of Spring), racking up over 81,000 views within its first 24 hours of release and generating a wave of positive response across social media platforms.
Released under the Anupam Music banner, the romantic, dance-driven track has drawn praise for its melody, visuals, and Sinthi's warm, distinctive vocals.
The music video features actress Alankar Chowdhury, whose screen presence and choreography have been widely appreciated by viewers, alongside actor Shifat Amin Shuvo.
The video was directed, shot, and edited by Chandan Roy Chowdhury.
The song was written by Ronak Raihan, with music composed and arranged by Akash Sen.
Speaking about the release, Shithi said the song brought her genuine joy to perform. "The melody, the lyrics, the arrangement — everything feels alive. I hope it stays on listeners' playlists for a long time," she said.
Anupam Music founder Anwar Hossain described 'Bosonter Kokil' as part of a long-term mega project the label has undertaken to introduce new artists, fresh music, and diverse video content at a time when original Bangladeshi music production has slowed.
Shithi Saha is no overnight success. Trained in classical, folk, and modern music at Chhayanaut and Sammilan Parishad, she has won multiple national awards for Rabindra Sangeet. Her recording career began in 2005 with the album 'Kichu Bolbo Bole', and she has since released several popular solo albums.
She has also crossed borders — her ghazal 'Do Piyasi Dil', recorded with Pakistani artist Shafqat Amanat Ali, earned international recognition.
Beyond music, she is known to Bangladeshi audiences as the host of the celebrity talk show 'Shithir Atithi' on Maasranga Television. Her story carries a deeper resonance too — a cancer survivor, she has become an inspiration to fans who admire not just her voice but her resilience.
With 'Bosonter Kokil' continuing to climb across digital platforms, the music industry expects the track to firmly establish itself among the most talked-about Bangla songs of the season.
