Shots fired at pop star Rihanna's California home

An armed attack has occurred at the Beverly Hills residence of US pop star Rihanna in California, according to reports citing police.

BBC reported that the Los Angeles Police Department responded to the scene around 1:15 pm local time on Sunday, March 8, after receiving reports of gunfire. A suspect was later detained.

A police officer told BCS News that the targeted residence belongs to Rihanna. Assault rifle casings were recovered from the scene. No injuries have been reported in the incident.

A law enforcement source informed the Los Angeles Times that Rihanna was present at the residence at the time of the incident.

According to police, a woman aged approximately 30 arrived in front of the house in a vehicle, fired seven shots, and fled the scene quickly. The vehicle was later located approximately eight miles from Rihanna's residence, where the woman was detained. Her identity has not yet been disclosed.

Police have stated that an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
