'Shraboner Meghgulo' artist Mejbah Rahman speaks out in support of Beauty Pal

Mejbah Rahman, the vocalist of the iconic song 'Shraboner Meghgulo' and lead singer of Different Touch, has said he saw nothing negative in the viral reel video of Fenchuganj schoolteacher Beauty Pal. He said the teacher should not face punitive action over the incident; rather, the matter should be handled with flexibility.

Speaking to the media, Mejbah Rahman said, "We always perform this song. It is a timeless monsoon song. We composed it in 1989 and released it in 1990. Even after 36 years, its appeal remains undiminished. Recently, it has also been used as a language of protest on social media."

Beauty Pal, a schoolteacher from Fenchuganj, recently posted a reel video using this song. After the video went viral, she faced criticism on social media. However, her colleagues and teachers from across the country have been creating reels with the same song to express solidarity with her.

On Beauty Pal, Mejbah Rahman said, "Teachers certainly must set an example for students in certain matters. But the criticism over this reel is completely unwarranted. I don't understand what is immoral about it. We cannot deny social media. It is not right to blame someone based on just one thing."
