Singer James responds to allegations of keeping hotel room dirty
Popular band star and Nagarbaul James found himself in an unexpected controversy during a concert tour in Rome, Italy. Several serious allegations were made against him and his team, including leaving hotel rooms untidy and leaving without informing the organisers. While Nagarbaul spokesperson Rubaiyat Thakur Robin had earlier spoken to the media on the matter, James himself addressed the issue directly at a press conference in Venice on Thursday (August 20).
At the press conference, held in Venice on Thursday evening local time, James responded to questions from journalists. He made it clear that without specific information and evidence, these allegations have no basis.
Regarding the photos of an untidy hotel room circulating on social media, James said, "Every hotel has rules and regulations. The room in question was occupied by some young musicians. They are young and may not have kept the room completely organised or clean. This is not a big deal. It happens in almost every hotel. Many people leave things in their rooms." The singer also confirmed that the room whose pictures were circulating online was not actually his room.
However, James did not directly comment on the allegations of breaching contracts and misappropriating ticket sale proceeds brought by the organisers. Instead, James's spokesperson and manager Rubaiyat Thakur Robin, who was present at the press conference, accused the organisers regarding the payment of performance fees. Robin claimed that James was supposed to perform only after receiving the performance fee of 30,000 euros as per the contract. However, the organisers did not pay the full amount before the show.
It may be mentioned that after their concert in Venice on August 23, James and his band Nagarbaul will perform in several other cities in Italy. They are scheduled to perform in Sweden on September 5. The band is expected to return to the country on September 22 after completing their European tour.
