The book written by Professor Sirajul Islam 'Unnati Utthana O Abhyutthana' is being sold at 12-15 copies per day until Saturday (February 8), the 8th day of the Amar Ekushey Book Fair.

Zafirul Islam, Supply and Sales Officer of the book’s publishing house, Katha Prakash, informed Views Bangladesh of this information. He said, ‘Sirajul Islam's book is at the top of sales at our stall. 12-15 copies are being sold every day.’

Each of the seven essays in this book has many stories inside it. The titles of these are ‘Bikolpo ki nei’, ‘Protassha ache ki’, ‘Boro Jodi Hote Chao’, ‘Torun Tahole Jabe Kothay’, ‘Unnati Utthana O Abhyutthana’, ‘Tumi Ki Amake Koriacho Khoma’ and ‘Er Pore Ki’. The articles were written between March 2023 and September 2024. As a result, they have the marks of the present time. The book is named after this article, 'Unnati Utthana O Abhyutthana’. The statement of this article represents the main points of the book.

The articles of the book mention that our development is of a capitalist type, and progress is also for the privileged. Fascism is the end result of capitalism; Fascist rulers want to pit development against democracy; as American presidential candidate Donald Trump wanted. He won the election. A fascist government in our country also fell at about the same time, in August 2024; that government also thought that it would suppress the demand for democracy by showing development, but it could not.

But fascism is not a matter of two or four rulers; it is a problem of the whole world. It has become clear that it cannot be dismissed through elections; but will fascism fall if a coup takes place? No, it will not; To dismiss fascism, the uprising must be socially revolutionary; in a word, it seeks to establish social ownership in place of individual ownership. Those words have been said in several articles written between March 2023 and September 2024. This book combines logic with sensitivity.
