At least six directors of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) have stepped down, signaling a significant shake-up within the board.

The latest resignations came on Saturday (April 4), when three club-category directors — Faiyazur Rahman Mitu, Shanian Tanim and Mehrab Alam Chowdhury — tendered their resignations.

Faiyazur, also the senior vice-chairman of the Cricket Committee of Dhaka Metropolis (CCDM), stepped down during the board’s fourth meeting, while the other two resigned later in the evening.

Shanian, who served as chairman of the facilities committee, was reportedly satisfied with his role and contributions during his tenure.

Their exits follow earlier resignations by Ishtiaque Sadeque, Amraj Hossain and Yasir Mohammad Faisal.

Of them, Ishtiaque and Amraj were elected from the club category, while Yasir was a nominee of the National Sports Council (NSC).

The BCB board comprises 25 directors in total — 23 elected from clubs, districts, divisions and affiliated bodies, and two nominated by the NSC. From the elected members, Aminul Islam Bulbul was chosen as board president.
