Six killed, 23 injured in Iranian missile strike on Israel
At least six people were killed and 23 injured when a ballistic missile fired from Iran struck a residential area in Beit Shemesh, located just 30 kilometers west of Jerusalem, reports Al Jazeera.
Israel’s ambulance service, Magen David Adom, confirmed the casualties.
According to the Times of Israel, the missile hit directly within the populated neighbourhood.
Israeli military authorities have deployed rescue teams, medical personnel, and helicopters to assist the injured and evacuate residents.
The attack underscores rising tensions in the region following ongoing hostilities between Iran and Israel.
