Sole survivor Ramesh's account on Air India plane crash

British national Bishwas Kumar Ramesh, who was in seat 11A on the doomed Air India flight to London that crashed soon after takeoff in the city of Ahmedabad, survived the catastrophe.

The British national who survived the accident spoke to various media outlets about the final moments of the plane crash.

He said: "Thirty seconds after takeoff, there was a loud noise. Then the plane crashed. Everything happened so fast."

He said: "When I stood up, there were bodies lying around me. I was scared. I stood up and ran. There were pieces of the plane lying around me. Then someone picked me up and took me to the hospital in an ambulance."

Ramesh has been living in London for 20 years. He was in India for a few days to visit his family. He is reported to have suffered injuries on his chest, eyes and legs.

Ramesh was returning to the UK with his 45-year-old brother Ajay Kumar. Now Ramesh is looking for his missing brother.

After the plane crashed, almost all the passengers on board were killed except Ramesh.
