Marvel's 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' has set the box office ablaze, crossing the $2 billion milestone in just 17 days of its global release. This marks the second-fastest time to achieve this feat in cinematic history, behind only 'Avengers: Endgame'.

According to the latest figures, the film has earned $2.022 billion worldwide, equivalent to approximately Tk 24,800 crore. Since its global release on July 31, the film's commercial success has been remarkable. It crossed $1 billion in its opening week and added another billion in just ten days, reaching the $2 billion mark in a total of 17 days.

Film analysts believe the significance of this success extends beyond the Spider-Man franchise and sends a positive message to the Hollywood industry as a whole. After a long gap, a superhero film drawing such massive audiences and generating huge revenues in such a short time has instilled new hope in the film market.

The film, a joint production of Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures, was directed by Destin Daniel Cretton. Tom Holland reprises his role as Peter Parker, with Zendaya returning as MJ. The cast also includes Sadie Sink, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal and Mark Ruffalo in key roles.

The film's box office run is far from over, and its earnings continue to climb. The big question among moviegoers now is whether 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' can surpass 'Avengers: Endgame' to set a new record as the fastest film to reach $2 billion.
