Successful ‘Borbaad’ duo team up once again

Following the highly discussed and commercially successful domestic film ‘Borbaad’, director Mehedi Hassan Hridoy and Dhallywood superstar Shakib Khan are teaming up once again. Shakib Khan formally signed a contract to star in a new movie produced by Real Energy on Thursday (July 2).

Confirming the matter, the production house stated that the title and storyline of the new film are not being disclosed just yet. However, a formal announcement will be made very soon.

Ever since the release of ‘Borbaad’, audiences had been anticipating seeing Shakib Khan in a new story directed by Mehedi Hassan Hridoy. After a long period of various rumors, the speculation has finally come to an end.

Director Mehedi Hassan Hridoy revealed that this will be a big-budget action-thriller film. He said, "Shakib Khan has been officially finalized today. We want to present him to the audience in a completely fresh avatar once again."

Those involved in the project claim that, like ‘Borbaad’, there will be novelty in the making, action, and presentation this time as well. Work on the project is commencing with the goal of creating an international-standard commercial movie.

Following ‘Borbaad’, director Hridoy made ‘Rakkhosh’ starring Siam Ahmed. Shakib Khan starred in the films ‘Prince’ and ‘Rockstar’. However, none of these three movies achieved their expected commercial success.

It is learned that the new film is being produced with an eye on a release during the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr. Although a specific release date has not yet been announced, the success of ‘Borbaad’ has already generated immense interest among audiences and Shakib Khan fans regarding this new project.
