Young musician Sonali Nawrin Swarna is gradually carving out a place for herself in the contemporary music scene through her creativity and hard work. She works equally as a vocalist, lyricist, and composer.

Balancing her studies with music, she has already made her presence felt in multiple films and original songs.

Among her recent works is the title track 'Adorir Ador' from the film 'Rong Road', which has received a great response from listeners. She has also participated in an item song for the much-talked-about film 'Atarbibi Lane'.

Swarna is not only a singer but also an active lyricist and composer. She has created around 129 original songs and has written and composed nearly 178 songs.

Reflecting on the start of her musical journey, she says her father's dream of becoming a musician was her inspiration. Although her father could not become an artiste himself, he wanted to fulfil that dream through his daughter. This inspiration led her to begin her musical practice from childhood, which has now turned into nearly two decades of experience.

Her first major stage appearance came through the Channel i 'Khude Gaanraj' competition in 2009. Later, in 2016, she participated in Bijoy Television's 'Gane Gane Bijoy' competition, where she became the first runner-up.

Currently, alongside her music, she is studying in the Fashion Design department at Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology.

Regarding her future plans, Swarna says she wants to focus more on her original songs and creative work rather than stage performances.

Her clear message to the new generation of artistes is: "Don't run after going viral. Improve your skills and the quality of your work. Good work endures, not fleeting fame."
