Switzerland have beaten 10-man Bosnia and Herzegovina 4-1 to earn their first victory of the 2026 World Cup.

After more than 70 scoreless minutes, Johan Manzambi finally broke through for the Swiss with a fantastic finish. Things quickly got worse for Bosnia as Tarik Muharemovic was sent off for denying a clear goalscoring opportunity, before Ruben Vargas doubled Switzerland's lead a few minutes later.

Of all the groups at the 2026 World Cup, Group B is particularly fascinatingly poised. Each side have one point after two 1-1 draws in the opening days of the tournament.

Switzerland and Bosnia both had high hopes of reaching the knockout stage before landing in North America, which means both could do with a positive result today.

After a frantic finish, Switzerland come away with four goals and three points.

They're now perfectly poised to get out of this group.
