Switzerland have taken control of their World Cup Group B match against Canada, scoring two quick goals in the second half to establish a 2-0 lead.

After a goalless first half, Switzerland came out with an aggressive mindset and struck in the 47th minute with a swift counter-attack, finishing clinically to take the lead. They doubled their advantage just six minutes later, in the 53rd minute, when a midfielder scored from inside the box with a brilliant shot.

Canada, who had matched Switzerland in the first half, lost control of the game completely after the break. They created some chances but poor finishing and Switzerland's organised defence kept them at bay.

Switzerland have been more effective in possession, passing and attack, particularly in transitions and counter-attacks. Statistics show they are clearly ahead in shots on target and chance creation.

Canada now face a crucial period in the match. A quick goal is essential to stay in the contest, while Switzerland will look to maintain their lead and extend it further.
