Following Bangladesh's historic 9-wicket victory in the Darwin Test on Australian soil, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) President Tamim Iqbal has dedicated the entire credit to the players, team management, and selectors. He stated, "1000 percent of the credit goes to them—the board's only job is to ensure necessary support and facilities."

Speaking to journalists on Sunday afternoon, Tamim remarked that the way Bangladesh cricket played after going to Australia 23 years later is one of the biggest achievements in the country's Test history. He emphasized, "No one else shares this credit; it belongs entirely to the team management, selectors, and players."

When asked whether the cricketers would receive a special bonus following the historic win, Tamim did not disclose specifics. He stated that the matter of bonuses will remain strictly between the board and the players and will be discussed later. However, he noted that the BCB is immensely proud of this accomplishment.

Tamim also expressed optimism regarding Bangladesh's prospects in the World Test Championship. Currently sitting in fourth place on the points table, Bangladesh has six crucial upcoming Test matches against the West Indies, England, and South Africa. According to Tamim, given the way the team is performing, "anything is possible."
