Tamim Iqbal retuns to Mirpur

While playing a match in the Dhaka Premier League late last month, Tamim Iqbal suffered a major heart attack at the BKSP ground. He was on the brink of life and death. Having returned from the doorstep of death, the former national team captain is now much better.

After receiving treatment both at home and abroad, Tamim Iqbal appeared at the Mirpur ground today, Saturday (April 12), to watch the match between the two arch-rivals, Mohammedan and Abahani. The opener enjoyed the game of his team, Mohammedan, from the President's Box in Mirpur.

Before falling ill, he was the captain of the Mohammedan team. In Mirpur, he also met with his teammates, who inquired about his health. On social media, Shahriar Nafees posted a photo with Tamim and Nafis Iqbal on Facebook, captioning it: “Look who’s back.”
