Tamim lights up series decider with maiden ODI ton

In the decisive third match of the three-game series against Pakistan, Bangladesh opener Tanzid Tamim scored his maiden international century, guiding his team to a strong position.

After losing the toss, Bangladesh batted first. Tamim played a composed and confident innings, reaching three figures off 98 balls. He brought up his first fifty in 47 deliveries and completed the next fifty in 49 balls, simultaneously crossing 3,000 runs in List-A cricket.

The innings began with a solid 105-run opening partnership between Tamim and Saif Hassan. Saif, however, fell for 36 off 55 balls in the 19th over, bowled by Shaheen Afridi.

Batting at number three, Shanto contributed 27 runs off 34 balls before being dismissed LBW by Haris Rauf in the 30th over.

Tamim surpassed his previous highest ODI score of 84 to register his first international hundred. By 34.2 overs, Bangladesh had reached 182 for 2 wickets.
