Tanjin Tisha's saree case: Complainant files objection to PBI report

The complainant has filed an objection to the investigation report submitted by the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) in the fraud, breach of trust and intimidation case filed against actress Tanjin Tisha by fashion designer Ayesha Anum Fayzah Sanaya Chowdhury.

Lawyer Shubhra Sinha Roy Roni submitted the objection on behalf of Sanaya Chowdhury before the court of Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Md Sefatullah in Dhaka on Thursday, September 3 .

Later, lawyer Shubhra Sinha Roy said the court has asked the plaintiff and three witnesses in the case to appear before it on October 20. Further hearing on the matter will be held that day .

Fashion designer Ayesha Anum Fayzah Sanaya Chowdhury filed the case against Tanjin Tisha in a Dhaka court on November 27, 2025. The court took the case into cognisance and directed the PBI to investigate .

According to the case allegations, Sanaya Chowdhury runs a fashion house and studio at 127 Road in Gulshan. On December 13, 2024, Tanjin Tisha took a saree worth Tk 75,000 from her to wear at an event. The saree was supposed to be returned the following day after the event, but it was not returned, Sanaya alleged .

The case further alleges that Sanaya sent a message to Tanjin Tisha on Facebook Messenger on December 15, 2024, asking for the saree to be returned. Subsequently, over the demand for the saree's return, Tanjin Tisha allegedly abused her and threatened to kill her .

Later, when Sanaya met Tanjin Tisha at two award events on March 13 and 18, 2025, she again asked for the saree to be returned. However, the saree was still not returned, the case statement says .

On November 10, Tanjin Tisha allegedly called her on Facebook Messenger and threatened to file a case and socially humiliate her. In this regard, Sanaya filed a general diary with Gulshan Police Station on November 12 .

On May 25, PBI Sub-Inspector Md Jahangir Alam submitted the investigation report to the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate's Court in Dhaka, stating that no truth was found in the allegations against Tanjin Tisha . It is against this report that the complainant has now filed the objection .
