Tanzid attains career-best T20I ranking following Zimbabwe series

Bangladesh opening batsman Tanzid Hasan has been rewarded for his pivotal role in the team's T20I series victory against Zimbabwe, reaching a career-best position in the latest ICC T20I Batting Rankings. On the back of consecutive half-centuries, the left-handed batter climbed seven places to secure the 20th position.

Fellow Bangladesh opener Saif Hassan also made significant gains in the rankings, advancing nine spots to reach 27th place.

There was positive news for Bangladesh in the bowling rankings as well. Mahedi Hasan moved up four places to 19th position, while leg-spinner Rishad Hossain surged eight spots to claim 25th place.

Experienced England batsman Joe Root earned substantial rewards for his stellar batting display in the three-match ODI series against India, jumping four places to eighth position in the latest ICC ODI Batting Rankings.

Root posted scores of 76, 99, and 74 in his three innings during the series, accumulating a series-highest 249 runs without being dismissed once. Batting at a strike rate of 96.88, he was named the Player of the Series.

With this leap, Root made his return to the top ten of the ODI batting rankings for the first time since 2020.

New Zealand's Michael Bracewell made a major jump in the ODI All-Rounder Rankings following a standout performance in the series against the West Indies. Bracewell scored 86 runs across four innings and scalped 8 wickets, moving up three places to third overall.

His ascent pushed Afghanistan's Mohammad Nabi down to fourth and Zimbabwe's Sikandar Raza to fifth place.

Afghanistan's Azmatullah Omarzai continues to lead the ODI All-Rounder Rankings at the top spot, while Bangladesh's Mehidy Hasan Miraz holds the second position.
