Hezbollah says it launched a wave of drone strikes against the headquarters of Israel Aerospace Industries in central Israel.

The group said it fired “a swarm of attack drones” against the state-owned Israeli defence and aerospace company “in response to the criminal Israeli aggression that targeted dozens of Lebanese cities and towns”, the AFP news agency reported.

No further details were provided and there was no immediate comment from Israel, reports Guardian.

The situation in Lebanon deteriorated further on Monday following the death of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in ongoing US-Israeli strikes and continued Israeli air raids. On that day, Hezbollah launched rocket and drone attacks on a military installation in northern Israel.

In response, Israeli forces carried out multiple airstrikes, leaving at least 40 people dead and approximately 250 injured. The military has also begun a ground offensive in southern Lebanon.
