Tarique Rahman allotted ‘Dhaner Shish’ symbol in Bogura-6 race

BNP Chairperson Tarique Rahman has been officially allotted the ‘Dhaner Shish’ symbol for the Bogura-6 (Sadar) constituency in the upcoming 13th parliamentary election.

The symbol was received on his behalf by Bogura district BNP president Rezaul Karim Badsha from District Returning Officer and Deputy Commissioner Md Toufiqul Rahman at around 11:30am on Wednesday (January 21).

A total of five candidates have been allotted symbols in the Bogura-6 constituency. Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal candidate Abdullah Al Waki received the ‘Langol’, Islami Andolan Bangladesh nominee Abu Numan Md Mamunur Rashid was allotted the ‘Hat Pakha’, Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Abidur Rahman Shohel got the ‘Dari Palla’, while Bangladesh Samajtantrik Dal nominee Dilruba Noori received the ‘Moi’ symbol.

The formal symbol allocation for all seven parliamentary constituencies in Bogura district was held at the district administration conference room at 10:00am on Wednesday (January 21).

According to the Returning Officer’s office, Bogura district has 2,981,940 voters, of whom 454,043 are registered in the Bogura Sadar constituency. The electorate there includes 222,796 male voters, 231,237 female voters and 10 voters of third gender.
