Tasnim Jara collects nomination form for Dhaka-9 seat
Dr Tasnim Jara, senior joint member secretary of the National Citizen Party (NCP), has collected the party’s nomination form to contest in the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election.
She collected the nomination form from the temporary central office of the NCP at Banglamotor in Dhaka on Monday, November 11 at around 10 pm. At that time, party leaders and activists were seen chanting slogans holding the party’s symbol ‘Shapla Koli’.
The party’s chief organiser for the northern region, Sarjis Alam, confirmed the matter in a Facebook post, writing, “Dr Tasnim Jara, Dhaka-9, Khilgaon, Mugda, Manda, Sabujbagh.”
Speaking about her candidacy, Dr Tasnim Jara said, “I have collected the nomination form for the Dhaka-9 constituency. The party has instructed us to submit the form by November 13. As part of that process, I collected it today. If given the opportunity, I believe we can bring change through NCP.”
Dhaka-9 constituency comprises wards 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 71, 72, 73, 74 and 75 under Dhaka South City Corporation, covering Sabujbagh, Khilgaon, Mugda and Manda police stations.
BNP has not yet nominated anyone for this seat. Meanwhile, Kabir Ahmed will contest as the candidate from Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami.
