Teen killed in Israeli airstrike on Iranian city of Qom
An Israeli airstrike hit a residential building in the city of Qom, located south of Iran’s capital Tehran. A 16-year-old boy was killed in the attack, and two others were injured. The injured have been taken to the hospital. The exact target of the attack is still unknown.
The airstrike took place on Saturday (June 21), according to Iran’s Tasnim News Agency, as reported by Al Jazeera.
Several posts about explosions in the skies over Tehran and Isfahan went viral on social media. Al Jazeera verified the authenticity of these posts. One post claimed that the air defense system in the city of Najafabad successfully intercepted an Israeli attack. Explosions were also reported in the sky over Tehran’s Malard area.
