Teenager raped, murdered in Delhi, body left in field partially eaten by dogs
Four people have been accused of gang-raping and then stabbing to death a 17-year-old teenager in Delhi of India. Three of the accused are minors. After the murder the teenager’s body was dumped in an open field. Police informed that when the body was recovered from there after a few days some parts of it had been eaten by dogs.
In a report of the Indian media NDTV it has been said that the decomposed body of the teenager was recovered from near Jaipal Runner field on Kushak Road in Swaroop Nagar area of north-west Delhi on September 13. The condition of the body was so bad that at the beginning it became difficult even to identify whether it was of a woman or a man. Police also informed that one hand was found in a state of being separated from the body.
According to police information, the teenager and the accused were known to each other. At the time of the incident she was with them in a tempo. There they drank alcohol together. Later allegations have been raised of raping the teenager, stabbing her to death and dumping the body in the field.
No complaint of her going missing was made from the side of the teenager’s family. Police informed that the family members told them that the teenager used to often leave home and return again after a few days.
As there was no eyewitness of the incident and the identity of the accused was also not known at the beginning, police took the help of CCTV footage in the investigation. Footage of more than 50 cameras of the scene and surrounding roads was analysed. In this a tempo was seen moving around that area near the possible time of the incident. However, due to darkness it was not possible to clearly identify the number of the tempo.
Later the investigators followed the path of the tempo by analysing CCTV footage of various areas. Conducting an operation on the night between September 15 and 16 they found the suspected tempo. After identifying its driver and interrogating him four people including three teenagers were detained in the investigation.
Police informed that the name of the detained adult person is Shivam alias Sudama alias Chuchu. He is a resident of Khadda Colony. The ages of the other three detained are 16 and 17 years.
