Thalapathy Vijay speaks out on divorce controversy

Actor-politician Thalapathy Vijay has addressed the ongoing speculation surrounding his divorce from wife Sangeeta Sornalingam, who has filed for separation.

The issue gained further attention with reports linking Vijay to actress Trisha Krishnan, reports India Today.

Speaking to fans at an event on International Women’s Day, Vijay urged people not to dwell on rumors. “Let things happen as they will. There’s no point wasting energy over this. I will handle everything myself. What hurts me most is causing my fans any sadness,” he said.

Vijay’s recent appearance with Trisha Krishnan at a wedding sparked widespread social media debate, intensifying scrutiny amid divorce rumors.

The court has directed Vijay to appear in person on April 20 for the next hearing.

Sangeeta has alleged that Vijay maintained a long-term extramarital relationship with another actress since 2021, despite promises to end it multiple times.
