There is fraud in one part of the referendum: Law Minister

There is fraud in one part of the referendum, Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Md Asaduzzaman has said. He made the remark while speaking as the chief guest at a May Day discussion meeting in Shailkupa upazila, Jhenaidah, on Friday morning, May 1.

"The BNP will do whatever is necessary to implement the July Charter. However, there is fraud in one part of the referendum. BNP is not associated with the fraudulent part," the minister said.

He also said that it has now become an established truth that Jamaat-e-Islami was formed in 1971 as a force opposed to the Liberation War.

The May Day discussion was organised by the Shailkupa Paurashava Sramik Dal. Among those present were upazila BNP president Abul Hossain, general secretary Humayun Babar Firoz, organisational secretary Mustafizur Rahman Turkic, and others.
