Titumir students block Mohakhali-Gulshan road

Students of Titumir students are protesting by blocking the road for seven demands, including converting Titumir College into a university. They started the protest by blocking the Mohakhali-Gulshan road in front of the college gate at around 12:20 pm on Monday.

Eyewitnesses said that the students, who blocked the road by throwing bamboo on the road, are announcing on hand microphones that no vehicles other than emergency vehicles will be allowed to ply until their demands are met.

A protesting student said that although the blockade program was announced from 11 am, the program started late due to Saraswati Puja on the college campus.

He said, we will block the road until our demands are met. If more students join us, we will go to Mohakhali intersection.

Meanwhile, several students are on a hunger strike in front of Titumir College gate for the sixth day to press for their demands.
