Tollywood filmmaker Utsav Mukherjee goes missing under mysterious circumstances

Tollywood screenwriter and filmmaker Utsab Mukherjee, known for works like 'Borunbabur Bondhu' and 'Bhobishyoter Bhut', has reportedly gone missing, sparking concern in the industry.

Family members said Mukherjee left home on Thursday afternoon (April 3), for urgent banking work but did not return. His wife later shared on social media that their last conversation took place at 2:22pm, during which he said he was inside the bank. All contact was lost shortly afterward.

Adding to the mystery, Indian media reports indicate that Mukherjee left his personal phone at home and carried an older device belonging to his late father, which is currently switched off.

The family has filed a missing diary with the local police station.

Authorities have launched an investigation to verify whether he had indeed visited the bank and to trace his movements thereafter.

Mukherjee, a noted figure in Tollywood, earned recognition for his distinct storytelling style. His sudden disappearance has triggered widespread concern among colleagues, fans and well-wishers.
